Timber windows in Ealing
Flush Casement Windows across Ealing tends to be driven by the condition of what is already there. The housing here is largely Victorian and Edwardian terraces, mansion blocks and post-war infill, and that shapes what will actually fit. Because of high pollution load and sheltered urban humidity, we see paint failure on south-facing sashes and rot at the bottom rail more often here than in most of the country. What we concentrate on is the flush face period properties need and stormproof units cannot give.
Manufacture only starts once the survey figures are agreed with you in writing. Send what you have, even if it is only a phone photo, and we will take it from there.
A local consideration we always raise: large numbers of properties sit in conservation areas with like-for-like replacement conditions.

Can you match an existing profile?
Yes. If you can supply a section, a photograph with a rule in shot, or an old unit, we can replicate the profile. For conservation work this is usually the condition the planning officer will apply.
What if the opening is out of square?
Most older openings are. The survey records the actual dimensions at several points and the unit is manufactured to suit, which is the main reason we survey rather than work from the sizes given over the phone.
Will the finish need maintaining?
A factory-applied microporous finish typically needs inspection every three to five years, sooner on exposed coastal elevations. Maintaining it is far cheaper than letting a coating fail and the timber take up water.
Do you take a deposit?
Not before the measured survey. A deposit is only requested once the survey is complete and you have approved the final schedule and price.
Is the timber certified?
All our stock is FSC certified and chain-of-custody documentation is supplied with the order, which most main contractors and specifiers now require for their records.
