Timber windows in Radstock
Bay Windows is one of those jobs in Radstock where the survey decides everything. The housing here is largely Bath stone Georgian terraces, Levels farmhouses and Victorian seaside stock, and that shapes what will actually fit. The other factor is very high rainfall with standing water across the Levels, which is why prolonged saturation causing frame distortion and sash binding is the most common reason people call us. Our focus on this is bays where the head carries load and the corner posts have to be right.
The site visit comes first, because assumptions made in an office get paid for on site. Get in touch and we will be straight with you about cost and timescale.
Bear in mind for this area: Bath's World Heritage status makes joinery detail subject to close scrutiny.

Verified client, SomersetRadstock questions
Can you match an existing profile?
Yes. If you can supply a section, a photograph with a rule in shot, or an old unit, we can replicate the profile. For conservation work this is usually the condition the planning officer will apply.
What guarantee do you provide?
Ten years on workmanship, covering manufacture and the factory-applied finish. Where we install, the installation is covered too. It is issued in writing with the handover paperwork.
How do you handle glazing?
Standard double glazed units for most work, and slim-cavity units where a conservation officer has restricted sightlines. Single glazing with putty lines is available where the consent requires it.
Can you price from drawings?
Yes. Send a drawing set or a schedule and we will price against it. If anything is ambiguous we will query it before quoting rather than assume and reprice later.
Do you work in hardwood or softwood?
Both. Engineered hardwood is the default where movement or exposure is a concern, and slow-grown softwood is often the better value choice for painted work in sheltered positions. We will tell you which we would specify and why.
